Uniroyal Rainsport 2

RainSport 2

Car Tyre
Tread Type:

235/45 R18 Y (98)

The Rainsport 2’s V-tread pattern efficiently improves water dispersal, but also has a new 3D structure designed to wick the water away, improving grip and resistance to aquaplaning. Braking distances are shortened – on wet and dry roads. In dry conditions, the curved V-shaped tread bars ensure an even pressure distribution with excellent contact with the road.

In the rain, the new rubber compound enables the RainSport 2 to easily key into the road's surface. This tyre also has VAIs (Visual Alignment Indicator) to make sure you spot any uneven wear at an early stage.

Customer Comments

  • I've had them for a couple of months now and have been very impressed with them, especially in the wet - superb handling - not aquaplaned once (touch wood) and I've already driven through two floods since having them. The only thing I would say is that the rubber seems to be quite soft on them. I've just kerbed my front left tyre (driving onto a high kerb to avoid the centre of the road that had flooded) and it's taken 3 deep gouges out of the sidewall. They tyre mechanic says it's probably ok to drive but I don't want to take the risk and have just ordered a new one. I'm going for the same tyre again though, as have been very impressed by it's grip in the wet.
