The Michelin XZX was introduced in 1975, improving on water distribution and traction compared to previous models. The tyre consists of large circumferential grooves to quickly disperse water from the tyre's path - to reduce the change of aquaplaning. Even in snow the tyre is capable of good levels of grip thanks to a number of sipes along the tyre's edge.
