The Michelin Pilot Road 2 is an award wining Sport Touring motorcycle tyre.
The tyre was constructed with Michelin's 2CT Two Compound Technology. This special type of compound successfully blends together two varying types of performance into one - wear resistance throughout the centre of the tyre and strong grip along the outer edges of the shoulder.
Michelin's use of a harder compound makeup in the centre of the tyre works to withstand excessive wear when accelerating or braking. The shoulders of the tyre make use of a softer and more supple compound formula to ensure that the tyre better conforms to the contours of the road - increasing grip and handling.
What are summer tyres?
Summer tyres are specifically designed for warm weather conditions, particularly during the summer season. This type of tyre performs best when in seasons with warmer temperatures - above 7°C.
