Bridgestone Reorganising European Arm

 

In a bold attempt to further enhance their customers’ experience, Bridgestone are about undertake a reorganisation of their European structure according to Tyrepress.com.  The main goal, it seems, is to put their plans into place ASAP, with the aim of all changes being fully implemented and operational by the end of January 2011.

Tyrepress.com reported that the most significant change set to take place is the division of sales responsibility into six separate geographical regions. Every one of these new sales regions will be governed by its own regional headquarters, which in turn will be run under the control of Bridgestone’s European headquarters in Brussels.

When discussing the planned division of sales into regions, Mac Ohashi - the CEO of Bridgestone Europe- was quoted on the Tyrepress.com website as remarking, “The European Company has grown both organically and geographically in the 20 years since it was established. The time has come to restructure ourselves to ensure that we can meet the needs of the market today and in the future.

“This new structure will enable faster decision making, closer to the market. This will increase both service and efficiency and should bring greater benefits to our customers.”
