Reifen 2010 Boasts New Records
Messe Essen – the company that was in charge of organizing this year’s Reifen 2010 – has released a statement which highlights just how successful this year has been for the exhibition. Provisional results have indicated that this year’s Reifen – which is the 26th one to date – has hosted an impressive record 600 exhibitors. Over 40 countries have been represented and well over 18,000 visitors attended the tyre, retread and vulcanisation related expo.
Another record broken was the diversity of the visitors to the tyre exhibition. Throughout the show 127 different nationalities were recorded, with 60% having travelled to Essen from abroad. Of the international visitors, around two thirds came from Europe; this was followed by all the A’s - Asia, Africa, America and Australia.
Chairman and CEO of Messe Essen, Frank Thorwirth, said "Reifen was not only an ordering platform but also a worldwide contact exchange which permitted a large number of international contacts and discussions in a time-efficient way. In each case, more than 60 per cent of the exhibitors and of the visitors came from abroad.
Above all, our international presence and our worldwide marketing for the fair have led to even greater international attention which has been reflected in the even greater internationality on the exhibitor side as well as on the visitor side."
