Yokohama Advan Neova Ad08 Receives High Praise
Recently Evo Magazine, one the UK’s leading monthly motoring magazines released the results of some track day testing. It was a good day for the Yokohama Advan Neova Ad08, which received very high praise on its dry weather handling performance.
The tyre has received a lot of praise since it was first launched in the UK back in March 2010. The tyre was designed primarily to fill the gap between teh Yokohama A048 track day tyre and the Yokohama Advan Sport.
On the day of the Evo Magazine testing, the Advan Neova Ad08 was fitted to a Mazda MX-5. From nine tyres tested the Neova in the tests designed to rate a tyre’s steering and feedback.
Tester John Barker praised the AD08 and was quoted as saying it was, "So crisp, so poised, so useable. You could put up with a lot for how it improves the feel and behaviour of the car. Enhances the MX-5 driving experience."
Barker went on to say that the tyre was, "very exploitable. The car seems to stay flat and the handling feels clean and direct. It's almost as if the suspension has been changed for a more tied-down, firmer set-up".
