Hankook Football Sponsorship Increases
News from Hankook Tire – the seventh largest tyre manufacturer in the world today – is that they have extended the sponsorship agreement they set up last season with six times German Champions Borussia Dortmund.
On top of this they have expanded their sponsorship into the Spainsh game. Throughout the 2010/11 season, Hankook Tire is also sponsoring teams FC Valencia and FC Sevilla – who have both qualified for this seaon’s European Champions League. The terms of the deal will mean that a Hankook Tire logo along with the slogan “driving emotion” along the entire LED arcade in each stadium.
Jin-Wook Choi, Hankook Tire Executive Vice President and COO for Europe was quoted as saying, “Sports sponsorship and especially top-class football sponsorship fully supports our motto ‘driving emotion’.
We understand our brand as being highly emotional and so is football. The sponsorships will be part of our European-wide medium- to long-term strategy to increase our brand awareness and strengthen the sympathy with our brand.”
