Goodyear confident of the rewards of Innovation

The Assurance Fuel Max tire, which delivers low rolling resistance without losing any traction, handling capabilities or tread mileage, is an example of current market success story, having surpassed expected demand.

Goodyear Chairman, CEO and president Bob Keegan and Darren Wells, executive vice president and chief financial officer are confident their policy of targeting the mid range tyre market is attractive to Goodyear and consumers. Keegan points out that Mid-tier branded tires are high-value-added products and the success in this segment lies in Goodyears ability to launch new targeted products quickly. Plus the tyres incorporate feature "directly addressing critical consumer needs," such as lower fuel costs.
